Kentucky Student Ventures Corporation (KSVC) is a registered non-profit organization in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. KSVC will apply for 501 (c)(3) IRS tax-exempt status. Contributions are welcome!

Cardinal Young Entrepreneurs in Action (CYEA)

KSVC has partnered with Vicki Wiederkehr with Cardinal Young Entrepreneurs in Action (CYEA) to co-present the entrepreneur training sessions. Vicki is an entrepreneur, author, college instructor and speaker. Vicki is author of Cardinal Rules: Financial Resources for Young Adults. Her book is a step-by-step tutorial on starting and managing a low-risk and low-start-up small business. www.cyea.info

North Central Education Foundation (NCEF)

NCEF was awarded a $250,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Labor and Lincoln Trail Area Development District. The project is a Demonstration Project for a Small Business Accelerator. KSVC is part of a team that includes the Western Kentucky University, McConnell Technology & Training Center, Lincoln Trail Innovation Center and SCORE. KSVC and CYEA are presenting four half-day youth entrepreneur sessions in May for high school and college students.

Kentucky Council of Economic Education (KCEE)

KSVC is working with the Kentucky Council on Economic Education (KCEE) , a 34-year-old statewide, not-for-profit headquartered in Louisville.  KCEE works with teachers, advocates and organizations to help Kentuckians develop the practical, life-long skills necessary in making good economic choices.  KCEE is an affiliate of the National Council on Economic Education (NCEE), an organization equipping teachers with the tools to bring economic and personal finance education to life for over 50 years. The KCEE’s mission is to champion teaching and learning economics and personal finance with academic integrity, responsiveness, and creativity.  Our vision is to empower all Kentuckians with economic and financial literacy for a stronger, competitive Commonwealth.

Campus Venture Network

KSVC has agreed to a strategic partnership with Campus Venture Network, the provider of the websiteStudentBusinesses.com. This organization provides a selective resource that connects the most promising student entrepreneurs with resources to help them succeed. The website StudentBusinesses.com is by-invitation and by-application only in order to ensure a high standard of membership. In addition, Campus Venture Network provides on a selective basis two software platforms - one for conducting business plan competitions, and a second one for creating an online business network to be used internally by institutions - that they are making available to KSVC at no charge if used by Kentucky educational institutions. Current users of their platform include: Harvard Business School, University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, Cornell University, Princeton University, Yale University, Wharton, Rice University, the University of Southern California, and other leading institutions across the country.
